Road Trip

Winter vacations provided the opportunity for my host family to go on a road trip.  So with the 4 days we had, we loaded up the truck and took off for San Juan Argentina.  The first morning we left General Pico about 9 in the morning and didn't arrive in San Juan until about 9 at night.  However, we had made a few stops to check out the city of San Luis and and lovely national park called Sierras de las Quijadas.
Yes!  Its a Zorro!!! (Fox)

Whoa!!!  Its like the Grand Canyon in Argentina!!!

I apologize for another selfie, but it proves that I was there.
Please don't blow me off the cliff!!

(Can you find Lindsay??)

The adventure continues....

Al Campo!

Sorry I have been such a horrible blogging slacker the last couple weeks!!  So... back to weeks ago...

My host family happens to own a farm.  So we took a tour to the farm (its about 10 or 15 minutes from our house) and we saw the gardens with Strawberries (I of course took the opportunity to sample) and lots of other vegetables, the fields of wheat, soy, oats, and other grains and plants, and we certainly saw lots of cows (vacas).  The majority of the cows were pregnant and recently born.  A couple even had the placenta hanging still!  It was a lovely way to spend the morning and get to know my host dad's work and the family farm.

With my host parents Lujan y Nora in the Eucalyptus lined path.  I chewed a little bit of a eucalyptus leaf (it has quite a lovely flavor!

 MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!  VACAS!!!
I spy the placenta!

What a nice looking head (and liver (as far as I know)
